Talking Points will be accessible on this webpage as well as HERE prior to 2026 Nurses Day at the Capitol.
The annual Nurses Day at the Capitol begins at 8:00 AM in the First Floor Capitol Rotunda where nurses can network and discuss pressing nursing issues. Talking points on current legislation and nursing priorities will be available. A tour of the Capitol will be available. Mid-morning, participants can attend committee hearings or observe the Senate or House sessions from the gallery. Don't forget to schedule meetings with your legislators (recommendations HERE)!
Lunch is on your own from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM.
The Legislative Conference, now free of charge, will take place from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the Lincoln Auditorium at the Capitol Building. Please note: snacks and beverages will not be provided during the afternoon conference, so plan accordingly. Dive deeper into nursing advocacy and policy discussions during this interactive afternoon session.
